Kindergarten students studied this image by painter Paul Klee. They discovered lots of shapes and color and decided that it must be depicting a bunch of houses in a city or neighborhood. Then, students created their own imaginary cityscapes inspired by his painting using shapes and a new material - chalk pastels. Kindergarten students enjoyed the messiness of chalk and using their fingers to blend each section smoothly.
